Hey humans, I’m Burt and I’m a six year old English bulldog, I respond to Burt, Burty or the smell of chicken cooking in the oven! I’m really excited about my new blog that my mummy Emma, or M as she’s known, has asked me to write. I’m rather clever for a pooch with no opposable thumbs I reckon... It’s all about my daily life, the food I eat, my walks, the way I keep fit & healthy and the time I spend with my human mumma in North Yorkshire and beyond…

I’ll start by telling you a bit about me… I was one of seven pups and when mumma came to meet me for the first time there was just me and my bro that still needed a forever home. I remember mumma sitting with us for ages, play fighting and cuddling us and by all accounts we looked and behaved identically. We both had teeth that nipped and were as sharp as razors, and we were both perfectly handsome chaps. Apparently, I was eventually chosen because the breeder said that I would grow up with slightly longer legs than my bro – I think that makes me a super model! Heehee… anyway, because mummy loves hill walking (more about that in later blogs) she chose me and called me Burt! My name is the same as mummy’s grandad who loved her first bulldog called Bodie who she had when she was 11 years old. So that’s how I got my human, and I’m very happy. We spend nearly every day together as I go to work with mummy and get to travel around the ‘Shire with her, visiting clients and having some fabby walks and sniffs along the way…

In my blogs I’m going to tell you how I keep fit and healthy and share my doggy diet tips with you. I’m going to share my favourite activities and walks, places to eat & drink, places to stay with your humans and anything else I think you might be interested in.

Remember that all my tips and places I recommend are just my opinion, but I hope if you try them out you will love them too…
